Thread: Weird new D&D module: The Ends?
retro_raven (OP): Hey everyone, has anyone ever heard of a module called The Ends? I found it in my garage inside a plain black box with no publisher. It looks... old. The art is smudged, and it has this faint burnt smell. I can’t find anything online about it.
pixelmage: ??? Never heard of it. You sure it’s not some homebrew? Maybe an old zine?
dicewarrior: lol what even is that name. The Ends of what?
neoncleric: post pics bro, this sounds fake as hell
guest124: This sounds like that thread about the cursed dice last month lmao
retro_raven: No pics yet, my camera’s busted. The module has stats written in some weird font, like typewriter ink, and half the pages look copied over other text. There’s even a section labeled “Session Zero: They Arrive.”
oldguard99: Yeah that’s not official TSR, that’s for sure. Probably someone’s creepy home campaign.
elfpunk: lol sounds metal, roll with it
guest56: I checked archive.org, no record of anything called The Ends. Weird.
retro_raven: Ever since I started reading it, my lights keep flickering. I thought it was just power surge, but then I heard dice rolling in my living room last night. I live alone.
CRTfan: stop trolling. if it’s haunted, send it to me, I’ll run it lol
guest404: this thread’s giving me chills ngl
AdminBot: Thread monitored. Keep discussion relevant to tabletop content.
guest392: Yo I actually looked this up on Yahoo Groups. Someone mentioned a module called The Endings back in '97. Might be the same?
dicejunkie: haha remember when someone mailed that bloodstained DMG to a guy on this forum years ago?
retro_raven: I tried playing it with my group today. The rules keep changing on their own. The monster stats were different the second time we opened it. My friend swore the map redrew itself between turns. One of them started crying and said something was watching us from the map’s edge.
tavernrat: Is this ARG stuff? My cousin did something similar on AOL boards.
moderator: Let’s keep this thread civil and on-topic. No creepypasta please.
retro_raven: It’s not a story. The module’s still on my table. There’s new handwriting in it that wasn’t there before. It says, “You brought us back.”
guest197: okay nope i’m out. unsubscribed.
necromike: yo i think i saw that name before. wasn’t there a guy in 1988 who disappeared during a D&D session called The Ends campaign? check local papers.
retro_raven: wait what do you mean? link it please?
necromike: can’t find the page now, but it mentioned an unfinished campaign where the players vanished mid-game. the last written word on the DM’s notes said “They’re here.”
guest457: okay that’s enough internet for tonight.
oldguard99: weird part is, the thread title changed just now. it said ‘The Ends?’ earlier right? now it just says ‘The End’. anyone else see that?
pixelmage: holy crap it actually did change. mods??
moderator: Thread title unchanged on our end. Please refresh.
guest99: no, i refreshed. it’s different. like something edited the HTML itself.
AdminBot: [Error retrieving post data]
CRTfan: ...guys? the thread banner just glitched for me. flashed some weird face or something.
guest404: i’m taking a screenshot brb
guest404: my screenshot folder’s empty now. what the hell.
retro_raven: it’s still here. i can hear the dice again.
guest420: why did the site turn to theends.online? it redirected for a second and now it's back...
